It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jerry Rice Sr., who departed this life on January 6, 2026, at his home in Laurel, MS. Born on March 2, 1951, in the same town of Laurel, Jerry lived his life with dedication and passion, cementing his legacy in the hearts of those who knew him.

Jerry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, whose presence will be sorely missed by his family and friends. He dedicated many years of his life as a mechanic, a profession that not only showcased his skills but also his unwavering commitment to providing for his family. His work ethic and determination were admired by many and served as a testament to his character.

The family has planned a graveside service to honor Jerry’s memory, which will take place on January 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM. This service will be held at Nora Davis Cemetery, located at 361 Eastview Dr, Laurel, MS 39443. As we come together to celebrate Jerry’s life, we invite all who knew him to join in remembrance.
