Jesstin Hosey, lovingly known as GBaby, was born on January 30, 2006, in Laurel, Mississippi. Tragically, Jesstin left this world on September 5, 2025, in Jackson, Mississippi, following a courageous battle with his illness. His perseverance and spirit were a testament to the love and support he received from his friends, family, and the entire community.
Jesstin's vibrant personality shone brightly throughout his young life. He was passionate about sports and had an affinity for the color purple, which reflected his lively and joyful nature. More than just a young athlete, he was a beloved figure to many, drawing warmth and affection from all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is deeply mourned by his parents, siblings, grandparents, his God-mother, aunts, uncles, and countless friends, who remember him for his kind heart and fighting spirit. Jesstin was cherished not only by his close family but also by a community that rallied around him during his journey, showcasing the profound impact he had on those around him.
His legacy of love and resilience will be celebrated at several services. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church, located at 512 South 6th Avenue, Laurel, Mississippi, on September 20, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM, and visitation at 1:00PM. The repast will take place at the Oak Park Alumni Building in Laurel, Mississippi.
Jesstin Hosey will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him and in the memories of the community that stood by him throughout his journey. His spirit will continue to inspire resilience and compassion, reminding us all of the strength that lies within each of us.
