Julius Hadley Sr.

Mr. Julius Hadley Sr., beloved son of the late Theodore and Ada Mae Hadley, was born on February 17, 1944, in Laurel, Mississippi. He was one of ten children. On September 16, 2025, he was called home to rest in the glory of the Lord.


Mr. Julius Hadley Sr. was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. After completing his formal education, he pursued trades to support his family, contribute to the community, and impart skills to future generations.


Julius Hadley Sr. was renowned as a natural-born "Mr. Fix-It." A skilled mechanic, he worked at Shows Body Shop and in the shipyard, earning the title of a true handyman capable of repairing almost anything. His hard work and dedication took him across several states, including Mississippi, Michigan, and Louisiana.
Julius will be remembered for the life he lived, the love he poured into his family, and the joy he found in serving others. His children were his pride and joy, and he loved them with all his heart. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy is forever present, inspiring future generations. 


Children: Annette Shamburger (Atlanta, GA), Frederick (LaTasha) Hadley (Jackson, MS), Deborah Hadley (Atlanta, GA), Lawrence Billups (Las Vegas, NV), Kristina Billups (Ypsilanti, MI), DeMarcus Billups (Grand Rapids, MI), Santana Hadley (Waynesboro, MS), Julius Hadley, Jr. (Hattiesburg, MS), David Hadley (Sache, TX), Ira Hadley (Jackson, MS), and Conseula Hadley (Newton, MS).


Grandchildren: LaKenya Shamburger, Marcus Shamburger, Ashley Daniel, Kimya Staples, Davion Newell, DeMarcus Billups II, Summer Billups, Tyson Billups, Tiera Billups, De'marius Billups, Montez Billups, Emerson Billups, Ja'Keda Hadley, Isha McGill, Charity McGill, Dramman McGill, Taylor Hardy, and a host of beloved great-grandchildren.


Siblings: Joann Hadley-Lee (Ann Arbor, MI), Glenda Hadley-Mason (Hattiesburg, MS), along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.


He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Theodore Hadley, Sr. and Ada Mae Hadley, and siblings Clara Mae Hadley-Croft, Theodore Hadley, Jr., David Hadley, Harold Hadley, James Hadley, Bobbie Jean Hadley, and Antonio Hadley.


Julius leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and cherished him.
